My Top Band (160m) vertical
The vertical is mounted on a hinge to an old powerline pole so it can be easily raised/lowered with a winch.
Here the vertical is half way up.
The vertical is self resonant just above the 160m band. It is top loaded with 3
wires, each one is about 7 mtrs long. These can not be seen in this picture.
I am feeding it via a tapped roller coil. A small amount of series L, and then
parallel L to get 50 ohm j0. The ground system consists of about 60-70 radials.
